About
Gretel Going is a partner at Channel V Media and co-publisher at Channel V Books. Her background is heavily rooted in media (print, online, and TV production), marketing and audience generation. Her formidable array of life experiences, relentless curiosity and passion for connecting with audiences led her to be an early adopter of social media as the creator and writer of two must-read blogs, cited by major traditional and online publications including The New York Post and Gawker, and earning interest from several major publishing houses. Since then she has continued to demonstrate her understanding of social media’s uses and potential by leading successful programs for CVM’s B2B and B2C clients.
She introduced San Diego to its first literary magazine in 2003, as well as worked in positions across the board at Chicago magazine, Dynamic magazine, the Custom Publishing Council, Rosen Group PR, and, yes, The Jerry Springer Show.
In 2009, Gretel and the team at CVM introduced Channel V Books, CVM's publishing division, which bridges the gap between traditional publishing and self-publishing once and for all. Offering authors high profit, high quality, easy distribution and a low-hassle publishing and marketing option, Channel V Books is a new publishing model for a new media climate.
